Step Into Soil: Evening Pasture Walk with Jill Clapperton

Join us for an engaging, hands-on event focused on building healthier, more resilient pastures and soils. Internationally recognized rhizosphere ecologist and educator Dr. Jill Clapperton will lead this interactive event near Mayerthorpe, sharing practical, science-based strategies for creating productive soils and functional agroecosystems.

Dr. Jill Clapperton’s expertise focuses on using plant root canopies and integrated grazing systems to improve nutrient cycling, water holding capacity, and overall farm ecosystem health. This is a great opportunity to learn how small changes on your farm can create positive, cascading effects on soil and forage productivity.

We’ll start with a classroom session, followed by a free social supper, and finish the evening with in-field pasture walks to put new ideas into practice. It’s a great chance to learn, visit, and enjoy a relaxed, friendly evening with fellow producers.
