In 1978, a group of community members and farmers noticed a gap in research and education for producers.
Our organization was born from this need. Then named West Central Forage Association, we served the needs of forage and livestock producers in the region. We demonstrated new agricultural technology and production practices through extension activities, applied research, and knowledge sharing.

The results obtained from research plots and demonstrations, along with current issues of agricultural significance, are shared with producers through meetings, training seminars, field tours, our regular newsletter distribution. A volunteer Board of Directors helps to ensure that we are addressing the most prominent issues to local producers.
